I agree that the opt-out nature of the program is devastating, and that some of my friends are furious after having their Fandango purchases documented for the world to see (like a guy who unknowingly told the world that he got tix for Enchanted).

Personally, I would be interested in the Facebook Beacon program if it was an opt-in. It is interesting to see what my friends are buying, but not if they don’t want you to see it.

Maybe if Mooney’s was part of Beacon they’d be able to keep their lease…
