I was at the NY Videoblogger meeting last week and a person new to videoblogging was asking a million questions, and had been doing so for the past 2 months. I finally said to the person,
“You just have to go out and start doing it, you will learn a lot more very quickly”
Which is what I really believe. Gardenfork was not perfect from the start, and it still isn’t, but I learned a lot more when I actually sat down and started posting shows.
Today I was surfing the Podcamp Boston sessions, and I see that David Eckoff is giving a talk, and in the description he says:
discover why perfection is the enemy of innovation
and it occurred to me that this is really true. If you keep trying to make it perfect, it keeps you from making good mistakes.
I will go to David’s session, and I am giving one myself on the mistakes I have made producing web video.
