Times’ Siklos gets it right

September 22nd, 2006 · No Comments

September 22nd, 2006 · No Comments

In the back of all our minds we are planning the next YouTube. Neave.tv is a new aggregator that lifts clips from several sources and runs them on this flash heavy site. I couldn’t get it to run very well, but our web connection is tugboat slow today.

Jeff Jarvis writes about Current, and thrases them [...]

Paint a barn, go to CBS website

September 13th, 2006 · No Comments

I’m helping paint the town’s old storage barn last Saturday, and I’m talking with a friend who has seen my online video show gardenfork.tv . He says he and his children have been watching other video online, notably, that of CBS News.
Today [...]

Steve Jobs talked of the newest gizmo coming out of Cupertino which will allow you to watch movies you’ve downloaded thru iTunes on your television. NY Times klunk

September 5th, 2006 · No Comments

Because I am a subscriber to home delivery of the NY Times, I get access to the Times Select portion of their website, which allows a user to search thru their archive of articles. I find this very handy, as then I don’t have to save all these newspaper clippings, I can save them in [...]

Vonage update

September 5th, 2006 · No Comments

The Vonage phone is working very well. Can’t really tell much difference between it and a regular land line. I especially like that you can have your voicemails emailed to you, as standing next to the answering machine to listen to people ramble can be a drag.
From the Vonage website one can check voicemail and [...]

September 2nd, 2006 · No Comments

I own an Apple Macintosh G4 Powerbook, and it works great. I noticed right away at how warm the battery was, so whenever I charge the laptop, I slide a pen or something under it to allow some air flow, and I never leave the laptop charging alone.
A bit of paranoia, but after seeing [...]
